make believe neighborhood

On 12/24/18

The show was selected as one of the best in 2018 by Chris Hewitt of StarTribune. Here. I am happy that it was recongnized as it serves as an antithesis of the current polictical landscape of this country. We need more shows like this.

We completed a beautiful run of Make Believe Neighborhood. There were so many faces beaming with smile and sweetness were everywhere.  I loved every minutes of the show with a wonderful cast — Seth, Laurie, Angela and Martin’s music.  And big thank you and congratulations to our director Bart Buch for his vision and so much love to create this such needed show right now. Thank you.

“I’ve always wanted to have a neighbor just like you. I’ve always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.”

Make Believe Neighborhood celebrates Mr. Rogers and the neighborhood helpers he told us to look for – the ordinary people who do extra-ordinary work to make our own South Minneapolis neighborhood a brighter, healthier, friendlier place. Join us as we explore Fred Rogers’ amazing life as an advocate for children, an artist, a friend, a peace activist, and everyday person. At the same time, we’ll shine a spotlight on some of the neighbors who have made our community what it is today.

Directed by Bart Buch with Musical Direction by Martin Dosh
